Find out how BB creams can give a natural dewy complexion with a luminous glow.
At the moment I use an all-day foundation for normal skin, although I don't feel it's up to the job for my wedding day. A friend recommended a BB cream; what is this and are there any you recommend?
BB creams (Beauty Balms or Blemish Balms) hove been dominating the European beauty market since 2011. These creams combine moisturiser, primer, foundation and SPF protection. In addition, many contain antioxidants which ore essential for regenerating and promoting healthy skin. Generally speaking, BB creams don't provide coverage like a regular foundation but give a natural and dewy complexion with a luminous glow.
There are varying levels of coverage for different skin types and complexions, which can even out your skin tone and ore best applied with a brush and then buffed into the skin.
You will find many brands on the market so it really is worth doing some research. Alternatively, your bridal make-up artist will know exactly which one will work the best for you. Having tried and tested many BB creams of varying prices, benefits and formulas, two of my foves in my kit ore: Smash Box Camero Ready BB Cream which comes in five shades, priced at £27 and Dior Skin Nude BB Creme which comes in three shades at £30. A budget conscious alternative is the Gamier range.
