Seasons Greetings to our #PulseBeauty Readers in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire
It’s been a busy couple of months since my last column; with the Spring/Summer 2016 shows at London Fashion Week (more on that in our next edition), attending MAC Holiday Collection launches and launching the wonderful Look Good Feel Better Charity at Milton Keynes Hospital! (Of which I am very proud to be the Regional Coordinator, and being a wonderful charity that Pulse Magazine fully supports).
Christmas is fast approaching, with only 46 days to go (as I write this column) and I have a feast of beauty delights to inspire you!
It’s all about dazzling dramatic eyes this month and I tell you how to go-golden. This great technique suits most eye colours and will definitely turn heads at Christmas.

Gold is a versatile shade of many hues and therefore works with many skin tones and eye colours!
- Apply an eye primer over your eyelids as a base
- Use a gold pressed pigment eyeshadow over your lid
- Using a deep brown in the crease and blending up and out - create a smokey eye
- Now for the glitter!
- Apply a water based mixing medium or sealing gel to your eyelids
- Using a small, flat brush, apply the glitter to the middle areas of your eyelids
And you’re party ready!
! TIP: Apply mascara and/or false lashes after you’ve applied glitter to avoid glitter lashes (unless that’s the look you want).
! TIP: Remove any excess glitter from your face using a fan brush and/or a gentle eye makeup remover.
! TIP: Berry lip tones are very on-trend this season and work well with gold eyes for a dramatic look.
Tis the Season to be Glammy!
The Festive Season is probably one of the few times that we can pull off glitter makeup!
I prefer a “less is more approach”, so concentrate on one facial feature (it’s always best to avoid looking like a 70s disco glitter ball!).
We’re lighting up our trees, so let’s do the same with our skin! Keep skin luminous by upping the voltage with Benefit’s Watt’s Up! highlighter for a champagne glow and youthful sheen.
